Hermes Dramatic WritingThe first time I appeared to Odysseus was when he was trapped by Calypso and Zeus had told me to give Calypso a message to let Odysseus go. The second time I had appeared to Odysseus was before he was by the island Circe was on. I had told him to eat a magical herb so he would not be turned into swine. Later Odysseus's men were turned into swine and Odysseus demanded that they be turned back into men. The last time I had appeared to Odysseus was after he killed all of the suitors trying to impress his wife. I was there to take all of their souls into the underworld because I am one of five gods that can make it into the underworld without being hurt or killed.
